Description: Aureterna sits high above the clouds, a city of white marble and strict order. Temples and courts stand on broad terraces; every line is straight, every seam tight, every surface polished. Gold bands edge steps and lintels without a dent or stain. Guards in green and gold keep the paths, priests record oaths and dues, and visitors are washed, assigned, and escorted. Over all rules Othyrian, the King of Many Faces, whose standard is simple: precision, respect, no deviations.
Skalds across all three kingdoms sing sagas of Aureterna’s endless gold—halls where light clings to golden steps, vaults that never run dry. Yet outside those stories, no one has truly seen the hoards. Gold rarely leaves the city; when it does, it goes sealed, counted, witnessed. The edges are gilded, the altars adorned—little more is shown. Whether deeper reserves lie beneath the terraces is known only to Othyrian and his wardens. For everyone else, Aureterna’s gold is certain in song and secret in the world.
