A Storm and a Battle in the Skies
As the party sailed through the skies toward Drasilgard, the calm did not last long. Without warning, a massive storm erupted around them, winds howling and thunder roaring across the clouds.
In the near distance, a battle was already underway. Ships emerged from both the west and the east, clashing midair in a chaotic aerial conflict. But what truly dominated the battlefield was something far more terrifying: on the western side, a colossal thundercloud began to take shape — forming into the silhouette of a giant. Before the party could react, the storm giant-cloud reached out, seized one of the nearby ships, and hurled it directly into their vessel. The impact dragged them violently into the heart of the battle battlemap omitted.
With great effort, the group managed to fend off several giants boarding their ship, holding their ground against overwhelming odds. Yet against the living storm itself, they stood little chance. The massive cloud loomed over them, relentless and untouchable. Just as the situation seemed hopeless, an unexpected ally intervened. One of the stone giants struck the storm with a powerful Banishing Smite, temporarily dispelling the massive cloud and giving the party a narrow window to escape.
Seizing the opportunity, the group fled the battlefield and eventually crash-landed on a floating island. Though shaken, they managed to recover quickly. Using FEND’s All-Purpose Tools, they deciphered the magical runes of their bottled ship. With the now-familiar incantation — "Bibbidi-Babbidi-Boo" — they successfully sealed the vessel back inside the bottle with a cork, making it safe to carry once more.
A Giant World
Even from afar, they could already see their destination: the colossal world-tree Yggdrasil rising in the northeast, its immense form towering over everything around it. The party began their journey toward it.
It quickly became clear that everything in this realm existed on a much larger scale. The land battlemap omitted, the plants — even the creatures. Their comparatively tiny presence did not go unnoticed for long. Soon, they attracted the attention of frostworms, massive creatures that burrowed through the ground and attacked without hesitation.
After a brief but intense fight, the party managed to slay one of the beasts. However, more were already approaching.
The Gates of Drasilgard
Before the situation could escalate further, the frostworms suddenly retreated, driven off by a new arrival. A patrol of stone giants approached — towering figures riding even larger mammoths, their presence alone enough to scatter the predators.
Rather than attacking, the giants offered the party assistance and allowed them to ride with them.
Escorted by the patrol, the group finally reached their destination.
Now, they stand before the gates of Drasilgard — a city of giants, mysteries, and perhaps long-awaited answers.
Arrival in Drasilgard
At the end of their journey through the skies, the party finally arrived in Drasilgard — the city of giants. Without wasting much time, they made their way toward the great longhouse where the Jarl resides, hoping to find answers about the strange events surrounding the earthquake and the disappearance of Yggdravia.
There, they were greeted by Gunhild, the right hand of Jarl Sigurd Eisenfuß. She welcomed them warmly, though it was clear she was surprised by their presence. Since the great earthquake, no outsiders had come to Drasilgard — making the party’s arrival all the more unusual.
The Jarl’s Return
The group was given quarters, along with food and drink, and told to wait for the Jarl’s return.
When Sigurd Ironfoot finally arrived, it was a sight to behold. He was covered in blood, clearly fresh from battle, and his right arm was barely attached — hanging by little more than sinew. Without hesitation, and with a grim display of resilience, he tore the arm off completely and pressed the stump into an open flame to cauterize the wound.
Only after this brutal act did he turn his attention to the group and hear what they had to say.
Exploring the City
After speaking with Sigurd, the party set out to explore Drasilgard and gather more information. They visited the local alchemist, Bergmir Björnson , hoping to purchase potions and make use of the materials they had harvested from the frostworm.
From there, they sought out The Seer in hopes of gaining insight into the mysteries surrounding the earthquake and the missing lands. Finally, they made their way to the city’s blacksmith, Hrodvar Thorsgard, likely to prepare themselves for whatever dangers still lay ahead.
A Curious Follower
While moving through the city, the group began to notice something unusual — they were being followed.
Trailing behind them was a very small figure, quietly mimicking their movements. Upon closer inspection, it revealed itself to be a Chwinga — a tiny, mysterious spirit of nature. Rather than posing a threat, the creature seemed friendly, almost playful, copying the party’s mannerisms and walking patterns as it followed them through the streets.
For now, it remained an odd but harmless companion… though in a place like Drasilgard, even the smallest things may carry hidden significance.
