Jin Silverveil
1. Description
1.1. Appearance
Jin Silverveil is a changeling whose form never seems entirely fixed. Their skin carries a pale gray or silvery tone that subtly shifts in hue, sometimes faintly glittering in moonlight as if touched by fey magic. Their body is slender and androgynous, and even their proportions seem to shift slightly—arms a little longer one day, posture subtly different the next. Because of this constant fluidity, few people could confidently describe what Jin’s “true” form actually looks like.
Their long hair flows past their shoulders and constantly changes in shade, ranging from silver and ash-gray to pale blond. Jin usually wears it half braided and half loose, allowing it to move freely as they do. Their eyes also shift in color depending on mood, though in a calm state they tend to glow with a yellow-gold hue. One constant piece of attire is a soft silver scarf draped loosely around their neck, which has become something of a signature accessory regardless of which face they wear.
1.2. Personality
Jin is curious, whimsical, and endlessly restless. They are fascinated by the world and by magic in all its forms, often wandering simply to see what lies beyond the next hill or forest path. Empathy comes naturally to them, especially toward animals and the natural world, which they feel deeply connected to through their druidic abilities.
Despite their lighthearted nature, there is something strange lingering beneath the surface. Jin sometimes reacts to things no one else seems to hear, occasionally smiling or tilting their head as if listening to distant laughter. Their identity as a changeling also makes them playful with appearances and gender expression—while they have no fixed identity, they are strangely fascinated with anything traditionally “girly,” often experimenting with clothing, gestures, or expressions just to see how they feel.
2. Biography
2.1. Background
Jin Silverveil’s past is difficult to pin down, partly because they tell their story differently each time. Sometimes they claim they grew up alone in the forest, raised among animals and learning the ways of nature through quiet observation. At other times, they speak of a settlement of giants near their childhood home, where they lived at the edges of the community—never fully accepted, but tolerated enough to learn their language and observe their ways. Whatever the truth may be, those early years made Jin exceptionally observant and deeply attuned to the rhythms of the natural world.
At some point during their wandering youth, Jin encountered a mysterious fey being in the woods—often described as a unicorn-like presence connected to the Feywild. The encounter left a permanent mark on them. Since that day, Jin claims to occasionally hear the creature’s distant laughter or voice echoing in their thoughts, guiding or teasing them in equal measure. To better understand this strange connection, Jin learned the Sylvan language and began exploring druidic magic, eventually mastering the transformative powers of a Moon Druid. Whether this magic was taught by giants, discovered alone in the wilderness, or gifted by their fey visitor depends entirely on which version of the story Jin happens to be telling that day.

4. Appearances
Jin Silverveil arrived in Waterdeep after witnessing the aftermath of a catastrophic earthquake in the kingdom of Yggdravia. While she had been wandering the nearby feylike forests, the disaster struck, and when she returned the stone giant city and much of the land had vanished, leaving behind only a massive crater. Seeking answers and aid, Jin traveled to the capital of Lemuria, where she spoke before the king and encountered FEND, who had been tasked with gathering a group of capable adventurers to investigate the mysterious destruction.
