Uzgamon is an Amnizu who are typically known to be guarding the River Styx that’s flowing down all nine layers of the hell. Amnizus are known to be unspeakably loyal to their associated arch devil, but it seems Uzgamon is the exception of this rule because he has his own plans in his mind. He is currently located in the Astral plane, seemingly to hide himself and ordered the Deam via a devilish contract to help him retrieve a contained Soul from the 2nd layer of hell.

- Chapter 4 - The new Menace, Ambush on the Road to Steelheim: During their journey to Steelheim, the group falls into a trap, set by two bounty hunters intent on stealing the Crystal Ball Kahani possesses. After a fierce battle, they defeat the wizard named Alastor Moody, but his partner Declan manages to escape with the crystal ball. FEND acquires The Eye of Uzgamon, a magical Eye patch from Alastor, that houses a powerful demonic entity. After this incident Kahani and Delondrus decided to track down the bounty hunter and get the Crystal Ball back. Shortly after the rest of the group met two new allies - Jastor Gallywix and Jhalrak van Durn who both decided to join the Deam.
- Chapter 9 - The Beginning of the End, The Assassination Attempt: After successfully escaping with the dragon’s gold, the Deam celebrated late into the night in The Davern, reveling in their victory. As everyone finally settled to sleep, they were suddenly attacked. FEND was alerted at the last moment by Uzgamon, the Devil in his eye. A young-looking woman had sneaked into Davern and was now attacking the group. They immediately recognized her as Tatyana, the wife of Strahd von Zarovich, who was abducted from him during their wedding. However, she seemed to be out of her senses, her eyes faintly glowing purple, and her expression distant.
- Chapter 9 - The Beginning of the End, The Assassination Attempt: Initially, the fight did not go well for the Deam. Uzgamon offered FEND his powers, with the condition that FEND would commit to helping him on a mission in return. At first hesitant, FEND agreed to the deal to gain the upper hand against Tatyana, signing the contract. With his newfound powers, they eventually defeated Tatyana and bound her.
- Chapter 10 - A Trip to Hell, The Start of Uzgamon’s Quest: After the conversation with Lady Laeral, Uzgamon contacts FEND and opens a portal to the Astral Plane. On the other side, the group sees Uzgamon in person for the first time. They notice he is slightly injured and holding an amulet tightly in his hand. Uzgamon explains the plan to the group, along with the key things they should be aware of when traveling through Hell. Afterward, he begins the ritual to open the portal to Hell. The ritual involves a blood-painted pentagram on the ground, with specific items placed at each corner. These items are: the skull of a mortal, a piece of Infernal Iron, a black diamond, a devil’s horn, and a vial of holy water. He gives each member of the group a soul coin, and once the portal opens, all the items burn away, allowing them to pass through the portal.
- Chapter 10 - A Trip to Hell, Welcome to Hell: Next, with the help of Uzgamon’s scroll, the group summons a Ferryman to take them down the River Styx toward the City of Dis. They pay the fare of 1,000 gold and embark on their journey. After around 8 hours, they arrive at the “Agora of Floating Knives”. Unfazed by the markets and pressed for time, they head directly toward the massive tower of Dispater. Along the way, they encounter Tivilius, a high-rank devil and right-hand of the archdevil Dispater. Using his mind-reading abilities, Tivilius discovers the group’s intentions and proposes a new deal. Although Tivilius serves Dispater, he has his own ambitions to seize power. He promises not to betray the group to Dispater, as long as they keep his name out of any intrigues. Additionally, Tivilius gives them the key to the first vault door. The group accepts the deal and continues on.
- Chapter 10 - A Trip to Hell, Who Takes Must Also Give: In the final chamber, they find what they were looking for: countless shelves filled with jars, each containing the souls of various beings. Uzgamon’s soul is among them. At the back of the room, piles of gold are heaped, and behind a glass case stands a small Wooden Chest on a pedestal. The group grabs Uzgamon’s soul, the chest, and as much gold as they can, and makes their escape.
- Chapter 10 - A Trip to Hell, Who Takes Must Also Give: After their return, the group passes through the portal again and hands Uzgamon the soul bearing his name. The abilities granted to them by FEND fade, and shortly after, they find themselves once again standing before the palace in Waterdeep.
