1.1. Appearance
Jastor Gallywix is a small but striking goblin, his presence announced by the glint of gold long before he speaks. Dressed in finely tailored, brightly colored clothes and a tall cylinder hat, he struts about with the confidence of someone who believes the world itself is for sale. Each of his stubby fingers bears an oversized jeweled ring, and his ornate cane—more decoration than support—sparkles with inlaid gems that catch every flicker of light. The faint scent of expensive cologne and engine oil clings to him, a perfect blend of luxury and labor.
1.2. Personality
Driven almost entirely by greed, Jastor views every person and situation as a potential profit margin. Charming when it benefits him and ruthless when it doesn’t, he speaks in slick, businesslike tones, peppered with shrewd bargains and self-serving wit. Though he pretends at loyalty, his true allegiance lies with his coin purse—and yet, deep down, a flicker of pride and ambition drives him to prove that even a goblin from the ashes of Kezan can rise to unimaginable power. To him, friendship is an investment, risk is a business expense, and fortune always favors the bold.
2. Background
The goblin people are divided into two so-called cartels, which generally remain neutral towards other races but engage in conflict with each other to secure their monopoly on trade and engineering. On one side is the Bilgewater Cartel, led by Baron Revilgaz, Lord of Booty Bay, and on the other side is the Steamwheedle Cartel, led by Marin Noggenfogger, Lord of Gadgetzan. Additionally, there are two independent trading posts: Ratchet, led by Gazlowe, and the Everlook, led by Razdunk.
Jastor Gallywix was born on the island of Kezan and fled with a ship during the great volcanic eruption, where many goblins lost their lives. Now a wandering trader and CEO of the Venture Trading Company, he is on a path to become the richest man in the world.
